Christianity Explored
Who was Jesus? Why is there such suffering in the world? How can anyone believe in God? Why do Christians read the Bible? Is Christianity anything to do with me?

You may have all sorts of questions about God, Jesus, Christianity, the church or the world. It doesn’t matter if it’s a silly little question you don’t think anyone will take seriously, or a burning issue that you’ve been wrestling with for years, we’d love to talk to you about it.

You are always welcome to contact either of the ministers [link], or join us on Sundays. You may be interested in a group specially designed for people who want to ask questions. We call it Christianity Explored, and it runs 2 or 3 times a year. A small group (anything between 4 and 20 people) meets on a midweek evening at Hampers Bistro in Lowestoft, we share a meal kindly provided by Hampers and look at a little bit of the Bible together.

The course lasts for 7 weeks, but you’re always welcome to come just to try it out – there’s no commitment to come back. We study small sections of Mark’s Gospel, one of the stories of Jesus’ life from the Bible. We look at questions like who is Jesus, what’s gone wrong with the world, why did Jesus come, why did he die? The one rule of Christianity Explored is that any question is allowed. You don’t need any previous knowledge of the Bible or Christianity. You won’t need to pray or sing or read the Bible out loud.
