By God’s graceAs Christians, we believe that ultimately we can do nothing good or worthwhile unless God Himself enables us to. Everything we have is a gift of His grace.
For His gloryThe Bible teaches that everything in this world exists ultimately for the purpose of bringing glory (honour, worship, praise, obedience) to Jesus Christ. We aim to grow the churchGod’s plan is that His people (the church) continue to grow throughout history: growing in numbers, in godly living, in knowledge and in cultural influence. We aim to transform the townGod gives to His people the task of being His agents in the wider world: showing His love and mercy; caring for the vulnerable, elderly, weak, sick and poor; challenging society’s failings; speaking ethically in public.
This vision determines and fuels everything we do at Christ Church. We seek to do this by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in what we say and do in many different ways.
